Brownies

Don’t skip the nuts if you can, they were great in these brownies and in a few of the other baked goods we’ve had so far.
These brownies are really enjoyable but the obstacle I came across was that the icing came out grainy which i feel is because I stirred the mixture while it boiled. So, I’ll be revisiting this recipe again to see if my hypothesis is correct and to have more brownies.

Brownies

Ingredients

Brownie
1c margarine or butter
2c sugar
1.5c flour
1/2c cocoa
2c chopped nuts (I used pecans)
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

Icing
1 can condensed milk
1 stick margarine or butter
2c sugar
1c chocolate chips

Instructions
Beat together the butter and sugar till light and fluffy. Combine in the eggs and vanilla followed by the flour and cocoa until barely mixed. Add in the nuts and finish mixing by hand. Pour into a prepared 9×13 pan and bake at 300 for 30-45 minutes or till a toothpick comes out clean.

For the Icing bring condensed milk, butter and sugar to a boil over medium heat. Boil for 2 minutes without stirring then turn off the heat and mix in chocolate chips until fully combined. Pour over brownies, let cool completely and enjoy!

This is the only brownie recipe I use now and I would definitely take a break from editing this to make some but my oven is currently out of order. Also, my hypothesis was correct. Don’t stir the icing mixture while it boils.
