Just make this pie. I’ve been making this recipe for years and it’s a consistent favorite. I may use more pecans than written and you can totally mix them in but I put them on top so you do you.
3 eggs well beaten
1c brown sugar
1c light corn syrup
Dash of salt
1/2 stick melted margarine or butter
1-2 cup pecans (chopped or whole)
Combine the first 5 ingredients, mix well. Pour into unbaked or blind baked pie crust, top with nuts . Bake at 350F for 45min to 1 hour till set. Cover with foil if your crust is baking too quickly for the filling. Let cool completely before enjoying.
