The rolls weren’t as fluffy as some would like but the taste was on point. I tried the classic Parker house roll folded shape but most of them unfolded and it wasn’t a good look so I made these into regular dinner rolls for thanksgiving. According to the recipe you can turn this dough into a loaf of bread or cinnamon rolls “etc” so if you try it let me know
Parker House Rolls
Ingredients
2c milk
5 tbs shortening melted and cooled
3 tbs sugar
3tsp salt
1/4c butter melted and cooled
2 packets or 4.5 tsp yeast
2c flour
Instructions
Combine above ingredients, mix well. Let rise 1.5 hours.
After it’s risen and bubbly add 4.5c flour and knead till elastic and smooth. Cover in a greased bowl and let double (about an hour) then make into rolls, bread or cinnamon rolls. Let rise after making into desired shape.
Bake at 400 for 20-30 min
