Fall Fruit Soufflé Salad

This wasn’t bad but it definitely wasn’t good. The face my mother made when she tried it spoke more than words. We ended up enjoying the fruit more than the actual dessert. I will say that the texture was surprisingly soufflé-like however the taste was not appetizing . There just isn’t much to say other than maybe skip this recipe.

Fall Fruit Soufflé Salad

Ingredients
1 package lime or lemon Jell-O
1c hot water
1/2c cold water
2tbsp lemon juice
1/2c mayo
1/4 tsp salt
1c peeled, diced apples
3/4c seedless grapes, halved
1/4c chopped walnuts or pecans

Instructions
Dissolve the Jell-O in the hot water. Add in the cold water, mayo, lemon juice and salt. Beat with an electric mixer. Pour into a small tray and freeze for 15 minutes or until firm 1 inch around the edge but still soft in the center. Turn mixture into a bowl and whip with the mixer until fluffy. Fold in the apples, grapes and walnuts. Pour into a 1 quart mold or individual molds. Chill until firm then un mold. Garnish with grapes, pears and plums.
