Would I say these are appropriately named? Maybe not. Chocolate peanut butter fingers are a better description but either way, these turned out to be a tasty treat. The recipe states “This is a rather rich cake-like bar that is nice to serve at a coffee” and I agree. Double the recipe for a larger crowd, serve with coffee or keep it all to yourself and enjoy it as a sweet treat.

Peanut Butter Fingers
Ingredients
1/2c flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
6Tbsp cocoa powder
1/4c butter
1/4c peanut butter
1c sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/4c milk
Instructions
In a small bowl sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder. Set Aside. Cream together the butter, peanut butter, and sugar. Add in the beaten eggs and beat until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Add in the dry ingredients alternating with the milk. Pour into a prepared 8 or 9-inch pan and bake at 350 for about 20 minutes. Do not over-bake. Cut into fingers and roll in sifted powdered sugar.
