These cookies are extremely easy to make, just be sure to add the correct amount of ingredients if you half it. I made a half-batch of cookies and accidentally added too much baking soda and cream of tartar. I didn’t make another batch because I didn’t want to waste food. They turned out fine and exactly how you would expect, like sugar cookies made with brown sugar. I do think that you would be able to roll these out and cut out shapes if you wanted to. I do like the ease of slice and bake cookies but if you wanted to do a special shape I’m betting it would work.
Brown Sugar Cookies
1 Tbsp Baking soda
1 Tbsp cream of tartar
4c lightly packed brown sugar
1c melted butter
Mix together the brown sugar and butter. Add in eggs until thoroughly combined. Whisk together the dry ingredients and add to the wet ingredients. Divide into about six portions and form into 2-inch thick logs. Wrap the logs in plastic wrap and store them in the fridge overnight.
When ready to bake, slice into 1/4 inch rounds and bake for 8-10 minutes on 375.
