Italian Spaghetti (Sauce)

Recipe card for Italian spaghetti

This recipe makes a massive amount of sauce. Just cooking a half-batch filled up my dutch oven. I took a few liberties when making this recipe, adding extra garlic and using half ground turkey and ground beef. Overall I really enjoyed this recipe and would make it again in the future.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce

*This makes a lot so feel free to half the recipe*

Ingredients
1c oil or bacon grease (I used olive oil)
3 1/2 pounds of lean ground beef or any combination of ground meat you like
4 bell peppers, diced
6 onions, diced
4, 28oz cans of crushed tomatoes
3, 6oz cans of tomato paste
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Minced garlic (however much you like)
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
In a large pot heat up the oil and saute the onions, bell peppers, and garlic. once they are softened and starting to get a little brown add in your meat cooking/ breaking it up until no longer pink. Add in the rest of your ingredients and bring your mix to a boil then reduce to a simmer for 2-4 hours. Taste and season accordingly*.

*You can optionally add in herbs like oregano, basil, parsley or just some Italian seasoning blend. This is a good recipe that can be adjusted to your liking.
