I used a cast iron pan for this and whoa did it pay off. I will 100% be using this recipe for cornbread. I look forward to experimenting in the future and adding in other flavors and ingredients.
1c corn meal
4tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4c veg oil
Preheat the oven to 425.Mix everything together well. Bake 20-25 minutes in a greased 8×8 pan or a 10 inch cast iron skillet.
As stated in my original post I have indeed made this again with other ingredients such as jalapenos and corn and it was delicious. I always reach for this recipe when I need a good cornbread.
