This is my first of quite a few jell-o recipes. I was less worried about the jell-o aspect and more worried about the bananas. I’m not a fan of bananas in things other than banana bread. Surprisingly this didn’t taste like banana it just gave the jell-o more substance. Would I make this again? probably not. It was good in the moment but I don’t see myself reaching for this recipe in the future
Strawberry Cream Salad
Ingredients
2 small pkgs. strawberry jell-o
2c hot water
Small can crushed pineapple
20oz frozen strawberries partially thawed and sliced or chopped.
3 mashed bananas
1c chopped nuts
16oz sour cream
Instructions
Dissolve Jell-O in hot water, cool then add pineapple, Strawberries, bananas and nuts. Pour half of the mixture into a 9×13 oiled dish. Let’s chill until fairly firm. Cover with the sour cream and let chill about 20 minutes. Add the remaining strawberry mix and refrigerate overnight
