If you like the texture of oatmeal cookies but have always wanted to load them up with chocolate chips and chopped nuts, look no further. These cookies were a hit! The only minor change I had to make was lowering the bake temperature and increasing the bake time so check that out if you make these. One last thing, this recipe makes around 3 to 4 (maybe 5, I cant remember) dozen so prepare to give some away or make room in your freezer.

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
1c butter or margarine
1 1/4c brown sugar, packed
1/2c white sugar
2 eggs
2tbsp milk
2 tsp vanilla
1 3/4c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 1/2c oats
2c semi-sweet chocolate chips
1c coarsely chopped pecans
Instructions
Whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt and oats. Set aside. In the bowl of a stand mixer or large bowl with a hand mixer beat together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Incorporate the eggs and vanilla until fully combined. Add in the flour mixture and just before its all incorporated add in the chocolate chips and pecans and finish mixing. Using a cookie scoop distribute on to parchment lined or greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes, rotating halfway. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. Cool completely and enjoy!
